Matt Albert, Ed.D., the author of An Educated Guess, is the executive director at the Center for Reflective Communities, a non-profit that provides early intervention and parent training to enhance relationships between children and caregivers. Dr. Albert founded and ran New Los Angeles Charter Schools, independent public charter schools serving 600 students in grades K-8. Dr. Albert started his career as a high school teacher and administrator at a Los Angeles independent school. He holds a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of California, Los Angeles, an MA in political science from Columbia University, and a BA from the University of California, San Diego. He lives in Los Angeles and has two school-age children.
