Hannah Alderete, MA, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in the treatment of adult children of narcissistic parents. She is committed to the ongoing study and research of treatment approaches for healing the effects of parental narcissism and helps her clients work toward self-acceptance, honoring their needs, and learning the valuable language of their emotions.

Alderete has been trained in Dynamic Emotion Focused Therapy (DEFT) and is currently engaged in a three-year Sensorimotor Psychotherapy training program to enhance her practice through a trauma-informed, body-oriented lens. In 2020, she published the book Break Free from Narcissistic Mothers: A Step-by-Step Workbook for Ending Toxic Behavior, Setting Boundaries, and Reclaiming Your Life (Ulysses Press). In 2023, Alderete will begin her Ph.D. program in Integral Psychology at California Institute of Human Sciences.
