Eric Schwitzgebel, Ph.D., is a professor of philosophy at the University of California, Riverside, specializing in philosophy of mind, consciousness, and moral psychology. He has published over 100 academic articles, as well as opinion pieces in the Atlantic, the Los Angeles Times, Slate, and Salon. His books include: Describing Inner Experience? Proponent Meets Skeptic (MIT Press 2007), Perplexities of Consciousness (MIT Press 2011), and A Theory of Jerks and Other Philosophical Misadventures (MIT Press, 2019). His next book, The Weirdness of the World is forthcoming with Princeton University Press in 2023.
