Danielle P Burton M.D.

Danielle Burton, M.D., is a fourth-year resident at the Boston Children's Hospital—Tufts Medical Center Triple Board Residency Program and a former professional ballerina. She attended Smith College where she double majored in Dance and Chemistry. After graduating, Dr. Burton was a professional ballerina with American Midwest Ballet, Missouri Ballet Theatre, and the Montgomery Ballet. Seeing her dance students struggle with both physical and psychological illnesses and injuries inspired her to go to medical school. Dr. Burton completed her medical training at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and is now doing a combination residency program where she is training to be a pediatrician, a psychiatrist, and a child and adolescent psychiatrist. She is passionate about advocacy and breaking the stigmas around mental illness.
