Adam Brown Ph.D.


Adam Brown, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of social work at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, City University of New York, a clinical consultant at the Institute for Sexual Wellness in Weymouth, Massachusetts, and an expert consultant with Park Dietz & Associates, Inc., in Newport Beach, California. His clinical and research focus is on the relationship of trauma, attachment, and psychopathology to behavioral outcomes. He is currently funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to study interventions addressing violence among youth and child sexual abuse. He is the author of multiple peer-reviewed journal articles, and a recent book chapter in the forthcoming Child Sexual Abuse Prevention and Investigation, published by the Child Welfare League of America. Brown is a fellow of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA).
